Best “Boring” car ever made
By Jimbo | on Wednesday, April 21, 2021
I bought my 2010 LE used last year and love it. I did have to change the brakes and rotors due to rust, and some other basic maintenance. But it’s nothing any other 10 year old car wouldn’t need. It now rides like it’s brand new. It also has plenty of get up and go so don’t listen to these other fools saying it’s too slow. I have my suspicions that they aren’t using the fourth gear, because when I do I take off. It is a very boring car interior-wise but I knew that going in. It’s a trade off for the reliability. Some my say the cloth seats are cheap but hey, when it’s hot they don’t burn me and they don’t freeze me in the winter! The seats are also very comfortable. I can drive all day and not feel any kind of soreness. MPG is also great but I think everyone knows that. If you’re thinking about it and are looking at one of these cars, just buy it before someone else does!… - 5.0

Good shape, low mileage, garage kept… - 4.0
Good dependable and efficient car.
By Jaro | on Tuesday, February 11, 2014
When I bought the Corolla, I thought I had just enough room (I am about 6' 2"). I guess it is comfortable enough, even on long trips for those in the front. It is rather hard to get in and out of, especially for someone with old knees, but once in I fit okay. .... The steering is rather sensitive, and in crosswinds, this is really noticeable. .... Maintenance is easy enough: I particularly like the ease in changing oil. The whole job takes less than 10 minutes for me to do myself. I have not yet had to replace brake pads, which is pretty good for 100,000 miles. .... The car came with Goodyear tires, though I begged them to change them to Michelins. The road noise and steering improved noticeably when the Goodyear's wore out and were replaced by all Michelin. ... Very good gas mileage if driven carefully. We got 38 miles per gallon on a trip from Texas to Arkansas (averaged over all fill-ups, and driven at 70 mph with AC most of the way). ... The cloth interior is rather uncomfortable, especially in that it does not slide well on clothing. It does, however, clean up pretty well. ... I bought the car for dependability and reputation; obviously not for style. It has held up pretty well.…
